U.S. Airmen assigned to the 51st Logistics Readiness Squadron and the 51st Civil Engineer Squadron fill a simulated airfield crater during a training exercise at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, April 19, 2019. U.S. Airmen assigned to the 554th Red Horse Squadron out of Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, instructed the participants on correct procedures of rapid airfield damage recovery, or RADR. RADR is an assembly line process used to recover a damaged airfield.. RADR capabilities support thousands of sorties for all airframes, provide temporary to semi-permanent repair options in all pavement conditions, and support flight-in-place and expeditionary capabilities.
