The Arctic is strategic terrain in the defense of our northern approaches and is critical to our national security. We are partnered with Canada in Arctic Defense. NORAD is working with Canadian and American military organizations to determine what investments are required to enable NORAD to deter, detect and, if necessary, defeat future threats to North America along our northern approaches.
