A U.S. Marine disguised as an urban aggressor fires an M4 carbine during the Urban Leaders Course (ULC) at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, April 29, 2019. The ULC provides Marines an opportunity to improve their leadership skills and abilities as small unit leaders in an urban combat environment. During the ULC, Marines utilized Special Effects Small Arms Marking System (SESAMS) rounds, which have plastic paste-filled tips that leave a mark where they hit, allowing Marines to track their accuracy.
