Spc. Sean Shanahan (bottom), a military policeman with the 504th Military Police Battalion, 42nd MP Brigade, puts Cpl. Justin Papke, a mechanic with the 508th MP Bn., 42nd MP Bde., in an arm bar at the combatives facility on Joint Base Lewis-McChord Feb. 15 during grappling matches with other soldiers of his brigade who aspire to travel with the brigade's combatives team to JBLM's installation-wide tournament in April. Shanahan and Papke both trained with the team last year and are determined to best those performances.
