Wreaths are presented during the Fiesta San Antonio “Pilgrimage to the Alamo” on April 22, 2019. The annual pilgrimage began in 1925 at the initiation of the Alamo Mission Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. During the procession and wreath-laying in Alamo Plaza, the names of the Alamo defenders are read, and a memorial service and the playing of Taps concludes the ceremony.
