U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Justin Pellack of Jacksonville, Fla., a Task Force Atlas crew chief on the Red Ball Express, delivers parts to Forward Operating Base Salerno, Feb. 5. The 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade has used the small planes to cut parts delivery time from more than 48 hours to 17 hours. The flights have transported more than 2,000 people and more than 200,000 pounds of cargo across the battlefield in RC-East.
