WASHINGTON, D.C. - The United States Naval Observatory (USNO) was the venue yesterday for a reception honoring the First Sea Lord and Chief of Naval Staff, Royal Navy, Admiral Sir Philip Jones. The reception was the final opportunity for Admiral Jones to address his senior officers of the British Naval Staff stationed at the embassy of the United Kingdom. Admiral Jones will return to Great Britain where he will be relieved in June.
In this image Admiral Jones is welcomed by Captain Michael Riggins, USN, Superintendent, USNO on the steps of the Observatory's historic James M. Gilliss Building.
