Pfc. Phoenix Reed is a 19 year old native of Lumberton, Texas. As a landing support specialist with Combat Logistics Battalion 31, Reed ensures safe and efficient movement of Marines, Sailors, cargo and equipment from ship to shore during amphibious operations. Reed graduated from Lumberton High School in May 2018 before enlisting the following month. As a landing support specialist, Reed provides security for Marines and Sailors during operations ashore – she is proficient with a variety of weapons, including small-arms, and medium and heavy machine guns. CLB-31 is the Logistics Combat Element for the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps' only continuously forward-deployed MEU partnering with the U.S. Navy's Amphibious Squadron 11, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
