U.S. Marines, assigned to the Marine Corps Detachment embarked aboard High Speed Vessel Swift, observe Haitian National Police and Haitian Coast Guard members fire 9 mm weapons at a Chilean military weapons range in Cap-Haitien, Haiti. The Marines are conducting a three-week subject matter expert exchange with the Haitian National Police, Haitian Coast Guard, Chilean military and French police, who are a part of Mission des Nations Unies pour la stabilization en Haiti, also known as MINUSTAH. The Marines are supporting HSV-Southern Partnership Station 2012, a deployment of U.S naval assets in the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility in the Caribbean, Central and South America.
