2nd platoon, 68th Engineer Construction Company from Fort Hood, Texas, designated as the urban search and rescue platoon, searches for simulated disaster survivors within an urban environment at Muscatatuck Urban Training Center, May 4, 2019. Guardian Response 19 is a joint, multi-component training exercise controlled by the U.S. Army Reserve 78th Training Division and includes more than 9,000 service members from across the country. The exercise tests the ability of the U.S. military to respond to a chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear catastrophe as part of the Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) program.
