Colt Lowry, a cavalry scout with B Troop, 6th Squadron, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, prepares to engage the 400-meter target, Feb. 21, at Fort Stewart, Ga. Lowry, and about 40 "Vanguard" soldiers took the opportunity to increase their marksmanship proficiency during a two-week advanced rifle course taught by members of the Fort Benning, Ga., based U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit.
