U.S. Army Soldiers of the 2nd Platoon, 68th Engineer Construction Co., based in Fort Hood, Tex., conduct simulated, urban search and rescue operations in an area with a chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear contamination in Muscatacuck Urban Training Center, Ind., May 4, 2019. Guardian Response 19 is a joint, multi-component training exercise controlled by the U.S. Army Reserve 78th Training Division and includes more than 9,000 service members from across the country. The exercise tests the ability of the U.S. military to respond to a chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear catastrophe as part of the Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) program.
