Lance Cpl. Nicholas J. Torcia, a team leader with Battery B, 2nd Low Altitude Air Defense Battalion, prepares his personal protection equipment before approaching the firing line to fire the M-240B machine gun at a range aboard Virginia Army National Guard Installation Fort Pickett, Va., Feb. 15. The LAAD Marines are conducting a variety of training exercises at Fort Pickett through Feb. 26. “This training has helped refresh a lot of these junior Marines on the basics of these different weapon systems we are using,” said Torcia.
