A group of 2nd Low Altitude Air Defense Battalion Marines and members of the 36th Canadian Brigade work together to paddle their assault boat across a river aboard Virginia Army National Guard Installation Fort Pickett, Va., Feb. 21. The group was on a patrol through the woods and across a river to a village on a peace keeping mission in support of exercise South Bound Trooper. "This is a chance for us to showcase our skills and the way we conduct ourselves on the battle field," said 1st Sgt. Marcus Martinez, first sergeant of Battery B. "We will also learn how the Canadian army does everything and maybe even learn a bit about ways to improve our tactics."
