Sgt. Marisa King, warehouse clerk, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, and Lt. Col. Matt Reiley, commanding officer, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, applaud athletes as they are acknowledged for their outstanding performances throughout the years at the 66th Annual Salute to the Champions hosted by the San Diego Hall of Champions Feb. 15. More than 40 local athletes were recognized this past year. The HOC invited local Marines to the dinner to recognize them for their service. Marines from Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego also attended to show their appreciation for HOC who supports MCRD youth sports programs, as well as other sports programs in San Diego. "The Hall of Champions does a lot for us and our sports on base," said Reiley.
