U.S. Army Africa’s Forward Command Post resembles a small tent city in its current configuration. USARAF soldiers have worked for the past 18 months toward developing a flexible mobile communications command center that can function as the unit’s headquarters anywhere in the world to respond to deployment requests from U.S. Africa Command. USARAF FCP features unique communications characteristics that allow it to provide vast variety of sophisticated radio, internet and video teleconference capabilities for up to 200 users.
