Staff Sgt. Curtis Harper (middle-left) and Senior Airman Matthew Miller (middle-right) put on their combat gear to be used at a challenge station during the Spur Ride at Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan, Feb. 21, 2012. Harper is a Charlie Sector controller and Miller is a Fly Away Security Team leader. Both are with the 455th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron and completed all tasks to earn their gold spurs, an honor which indicated a trooper who deployed and engaged in combat while attached to a cavalry unit.
