James Meyer, commanding officer Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 7, gives the opening address during a joint Seabee birthday celebration with 22nd Naval Construction Regiment at Kandahar Airfield. The Seabees celebrated 70th birthday of the U.S. Navy Seabees. NMCB 7, homeported at Gulfport, Miss., and its detachments are one of two Seabee battalions conducting contingency construction and deconstruction in support of the International Security Assistance Force as part of Task Force Stethem, operating in the U.S. Central Command area of operation.
