U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Alvin Jenkins is the commander of the 1st Special Operations Support Squadron at Hurlburt Field, Florida. The 1st SOSS provides direct support to unified and theater commands and orchestrates several operations such as operational planning, maritime and range support, and joint ground liaison functions for America’s largest active duty special operations wing. Jenkins directs operations for more than 300 personnel comprised of a unique blend of career fields including weather, intelligence and airfield operations.
