Rafael Massey (left), 9, a 3rd-grade student with Kolda Elementary School, Corpus Christi, Texas, and a fellow student, sprays water on a model of some of Texas’ watersheds during a Corpus Christi Army Depot Environmental Team-sponsored Earth Day Fair at Kolda, April 24. Each student sprayed food dye on the model to represent different rivers and observe how they intersect or converge into the ocean. More than a half-dozen local organizations came out to educate more than 500 students on the importance of preserving our environment, our watersheds and sea life.
