    Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton

Camp Pendleton's occupants recycle more than 22,000 aluminum cans every three weeks, which is the equivalent to 716 pounds of recycled material. One bale of aluminum cans earns the base more than $1,000. After paying the recycling center's operating costs, generated profits fund projects that benefit Marines, sailors and the families that live on base.
