Indiana National Guard soldiers with the 38th Infantry Division place another soldier in a medical skid during premobilization training at Camp Atterbury near Edinburgh, Indiana, Sunday, May 12, 2019. Approximately 600 soldiers with the division are scheduled to deploy to the Middle East in support of Task Force Spartan and will be in command and control of more than 9,000 U.S. service members who are there to foster partnerships, increase security and self-reliance throughout the region. The training includes a wide range of tasks such as physical fitness, individual and crew-served weapons qualifications and resiliency training that will ensure the soldiers are proficient, agile, adaptable and lethal.
