A soldier pins a simulated combatant into a corner during the Fort Bliss Battlefield Combatives Course at Fort Bliss, Texas, Feb. 16, 2012. The course is unique to Fort Bliss and is designed to better prepare Soldiers prior to deploying by incorporating tactical situations the soldiers might encounter in a combat scenario and requiring soldiers to wear the same tactical equipment they would be wearing while deployed.
