Boxes of 7.62 mm ammunition sit ready for use in a sniper weapon system at Dona Ana Range, N.M., Feb. 27, 2012. The range – where two-man teams estimates target distances before shooting -- was part of the U.S. Army Sniper School, which was held at Fort Bliss from Feb. 5 through March 8. Five instructors traveled from the school’s main location at Fort Benning, Ga., to conduct the five-week course.
