AJ Orlikoff, a Museum Educator with the Hampton Roads Naval Museum, presents for a packed audience at the Hunter House Victorian Museum in Norfolk’s Freemason District. The presentation was entitled “From Civil War to Gilded Age: US Sailors in the Victorian Era.” The presentation centered around the fusion of naval tradition, technological innovations, and social change. The Hunter House Victorian Museum is a non-profit 501(c)3 historic house that educates the public in late 19th century decorative arts, Victorian Era culture, and early 20th century culture along with the history of Norfolk. It was built in 1894, and is within blocks of the Hampton Roads Naval Museum in; both located in Downtown Norfolk. (US Navy Photo by Max Lonzanida/Released).
