Schwanke, a native of Newport News, Va., onboard a CH-47 Chinook helicopter assigned to 2nd Aviation Brigade, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade. McWhirter and Schwanke are both assigned to provost marshal office with the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division deployed from Fort Bliss, Texas, to Forward Operating Base Shank. This is Schwanke’s fourth and final indefinite re-enlistment.
