The 76th Aircraft Maintenance Group removed EC-135E, serial # 61-0329, from their training compound and replaced it with KC-135R, serial # 63-7980, on April 27, 2019, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. KC-135R 63-7980 was known as the Speckled Trout and was recently retired by the 412th Flight Test Wing, Edwards AFB, California. The complicated move process included taking the aircraft over unpaved surfaces and along a major thoroughfare all while negotiating sharp turns and avoiding obstacles. (U.S. Air Force photo/Greg L.
