The Department of Ministry and Pastoral Care at Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) hosted a spiritual readiness luncheon at the TAMC Chapel, Honolulu, HI, May, 7. The chaplains hosted the event for the nurses to promote resiliency and foster a healthy work environment while recognizing nursing teams throughout the medical center for Nurses Week. Col. Susan Hopkinson, chief, TAMC Center for Nursing Science & Clinical Inquiry, was the keynote speaker for the event, and special music was provided by Jung Jin Choi, a professional singer, and a military spouse. Other activities included “blessing of the hands,” reciting scriptures, prayers, and a special luncheon. The TAMC Department of Ministry and Pastoral Care offers confidential counseling, religious services, prayer, and pastoral care for hospital staff members, patients, and their families, located at the hospital Oceanside D wing, 3rd Floor.
