A town hall meeting allows the residents of the fictional town of Pine Branch, led by their mayor, to be heard and to decide whether to accept the Americans’ efforts at stabilizing their region, or whether to go along with Communist rule, during a training exercise at Fort Hunter Liggett, California, Feb. 6, 2019. Civilian role players at Fort Hunter Liggett help the PSYOP students learn to negotiate the difficult terrain of cultural, social and political differences as they try to ally the factions in a way beneficial to American interests. This scenario in the 80th Training Command's PSYOP class had a small-town American feel as they ironed out disagreements in the Town Hall meeting at the end of the scenario.
