Army First Sgt. (Ret.) Jarrid Collins leads a group of runners into Biggs Park on Fort Bliss May 13, while wife Army Master Sgt. (Ret.) Layla and sons Gabe and Colt cheer him on. Collins is the Head of Non-Disaster Programs for Operation BBQ Relief and is running, biking, and hand-cycling 2,500 miles from Los Angeles, California to Tampa, Florida to spread awareness of the organization's mission. Operation BBQ Relief is an organization that is committed to spreading hope, compassion and friendship across America by providing free meals to communities in need.
