Imwattana, an OB/GYN (obstetrics/gynecology) physician, also toured Tripler's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Interdisciplinary Pain Management Clinic, as well as received a command brief focusing on readiness initiatives, medical capabilities, the hospital's robust Graduate Professional Health Education program, and contributions towards Global Health Engagements. Nearly 261,000 people in the Pacific Basin are eligible to receive care at Tripler, the Pacific region’s premier teaching medical center. Beneficiaries include active-duty service members of all branches of service, their eligible families, military-eligible retirees, and their families, veterans and many residents across the Pacific Islands.
