U.S. Army paratroopers assigned to Comanche Troop, 1st Squadron (Airborne), 91st Cavalry Regiment conduct sustained airborne training alongside jumpmasters from the Turkish Army in preparation for airborne operations during Exercise Erciyes, May 22, 2019.
Exercise Erciyes 2019 is a multinational exercise with participating armed forces from the United States, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Pakistan. The 18-day exercise will take place at the Martyr Lt. Hasan BAK D/L Zone outside the city of Kayseri, Turkey, and is designed to test and improve the interoperability of combat support and combat service support units with combat units. The exercise will improve combat readiness among participating countries.
