SATTAHIP, Thailand (May 24, 2019) – Royal Thai Armed Forces and U.S. Navy medical professionals host a symposium with Pacific Partnership 2019 participants to discuss potential ways to improve local medical response in the event of a natural disaster. The event marked the end of a 4-day medical humanitarian assistance and disaster relief seminar at the Queen Sirikit Hospital. Pacific Partnership, now in its 14th iteration, is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Pacific. Each year the mission team works collectively with host and partner nations to enhance regional interoperability and disaster response capabilities, increase security and stability in the region, and foster new and enduring friendships in the Indo-Pacific.
