Rear Adm. Kurt Tidd, commander of U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command and U.S. 4th Fleet, speaks with service members aboard High Speed Vessel (HSV 2) Swift. The service members recently returned from a four-month deployment in support of HSV-Southern Partnership Station 2012. During the deployment, the ship visited the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Peru and Panama. Southern Partnership Station is an annual deployment of U.S. Navy ships and assets to the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility in the Caribbean, Central and South America.
