Liquid oxygen is kept in clearly marked tanks at the cryogenics plant aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., March 7. The pure oxygen allows the pilot to breath, ensuring he can contribute to the mission of the Marines below him on the ground effectively in a combat zone.
