Pallbearers carry the casket of Sgt. Maj. William O. Wooldridge, the first person to fill the position of Sergeant Major of the Army, into the U.S. Sergeants Major Academy on Fort Bliss, Texas, for a viewing, March 12, 2012. Wooldridge enlisted in the Army in 1940 and served on active duty until 1972. He died in El Paso, Texas, March 5, 2012 at the age of 89.
