Army Brig. Gen. Nikki L. Griffin Olive, commanding general, 335th Signal Command (Tactical) (Provisional), poses with teams from the Kuwait Ministry of Defense J6, the Kuwait National Guard , and the Kuwait Communication Information Technology Regulation Authority (CITRA) during the U.S. Army Central Best Cyber Warrior Competition 2019 held on Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, May 16, 2019. During the three-day event, which ran May 14 to 16, the teams, which came from Kuwait, the U.S. Army Central area of operations and the United States, engaged in a variety of events designed to challenge the competitors mentally and physically while promoting interoperability and esprit de corps. The Best Cyber Warrior Challenge is designed to create a culture of awareness and understanding at all echelons of cybersecurity, while in a fun and competitive environment, in order to reduce risk and protect the Army, Department of Defense, partner nation networks and personal networks. This is the first year the teams from Kuwait joined the Best Cyber Warrior Competition.
