BREMERTON, Wash. (May 28, 2019) – The Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarine USS Pittsburgh (SSN 720), arrives at Naval Base Kitsap-Bremerton to commence the inactivation and decommissioning process. Pittsburgh conducted its first arctic transit from Groton, Connecticut, to Bremerton, Washington, for its final underway and homeport change. Commissioned in 1985, Pittsburgh has fired two tomahawk missiles and supported numerous missions vital to national security during her 35 years of service.
