U.S. Marine Lt. Col. Henry R. Prokop, the commanding officer for 3rd Low Altitude Air Defense (LAAD) Battalion, awards the Meritorious Service Medal to Sgt. Maj. Robert W. Schieler, the outgoing sergeant major of 3rd LAAD, during a relief and appointment ceremony for 3rd LAAD at Camp Pendleton, Calif., May 23, 2019. During the ceremony, Schieler was recognized for his service, leadership and dedication to the Corps. The unit also welcomed U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Jose Romero Jr. as their sergeant major.
