Col. Chris Toner, commander of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, pins a US Army Meritorious Service Medal on Lt. Col. Alan Streeter, commander of the 3rd BCT's 2nd Battalion, 2nd Infantry Regiment, March 13 for service rendered during the BCT's 2011 deployment to eastern Afghanistan. The award presentation took place just prior to Streeter relinquishing command to Lt. Col. Eric Lopez at a ceremony held on Brooks Field. Streeter's parents (right), were also in attendance.
