Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune staff and Corpsmen teamed up with Lenoir County Emergency Services at Lenoir Community College to instruct participants on tourniquet application and wound care as part of a special EMS Week event on National Stop the Bleed Day, May 23, 2019. In the last 18 months, NMCCL has taught more than 2,700 individuals how to stop the bleed, at more than a dozen locations ranging from government organizations to businesses. Also at the event, NMCCL staff from the Inter-Facility Transfer Team, Lenoir County EMS and LCC's Emergency Medical Science classes conducted ambulance tours.
