During his recent visit to the Seabees assigned to Naval Construction Battalion 17 Capt. Troy M. McClelland, 1st Naval Construction Regiment Commander, awarded the Seabee Combat Warfare Certificate to Construction Mechanic 1st Class David Roush. McClelland also addressed the battalion on the state of affairs of the Naval Construction Forces, observed battalion training, had lunch with the troops and engaged in other operational meetings. NMCB 17 is a routinely deployable unit, constantly training both technical and tactical skills to provide construction support for the Navy, Marine Corps, and other organizations.
