Capt. Pete Hildreth, commanding officer of the submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS 40), gives Rear Adm. James Caldwell Jr., commander, Submarine Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, a tour of the ship. Frank Cable is temporarily relieved from conducting maintenance of submarines and service vessels deployed in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility by the submarine tender USS Emory S. Land (AS 39) and is currently in Portland for a regular overhaul and dry-docking.
