Tribal sheiks from Iraq's Diyala River Valley swear on the Quran to uphold a promise of strength through unity during a meeting in Sheik Mazen Village, Iraq, Aug. 19. More than 80 sheiks, muktars and influential leaders met and signed the agreement during Operation Lightning Hammer after Iraqi and coalition forces disrupted al-Qaida's presence in the area.
