NAVAL SUPPORT FACILITY DEVESELU, Romania (May 16, 2019) – U.S. Navy Sailors from Naval Support Facility Deveselu (NSFD) spoke with high school students as part of a cultural exchange in Caracal, Romania, May 16, 2019. The Senior Enlisted Leader for NSFD, Command Senior Chief Jorge Tapia(left), spoke about his experiences in the Navy and growing up in southern California. The teenagers also asked questions about ‘the American Dream’ and how to achieve goals. U.S. Navy personnel assigned to NSFD often participate in community relations events as part of ongoing cultural exchange and goodwill efforts in the surrounding communities. The installation's operations enable the responsiveness of U.S. and allied forces in support of Navy Region Europe, Africa, Southwest Asia's (EURAFSWA) mission to provide services to the Fleet, Fighter, and Family.
