190514-N-UM706-0015 RED SEA (May 14, 2019) Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Victoria Favia, assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Nitze (DDG 94), communicates with the pilots in an MH-60R Sea Hawk Helicopter assigned to the “Grandmasters” of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 46. Nitze, as part of the Abraham Lincoln Strike Group, is prepared to respond to contingencies and to defend U.S. forces and interests in the region. With Abraham Lincoln as the flagship, deployed strike group assets include staffs, ships and aircraft of Carrier Strike Group 12, Destroyer Squadron 2, USS Leyte Gulf and Carrier Air Wing Seven.
