Scott Robertson, commander, Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC), receives honors as the official party departs following SMWDC’s change of command ceremony at U.S. 3rd Fleet Headquarters Compound onboard Naval Base Point Loma. During the ceremony, Robertson relieved from Rear Adm. Dave Welch, becoming SMWDC’s fourth commander. SMWDC is the Navy’s surface warfare community’s Warfighting Development Center and its mission is to increase the lethality and tactical proficiency of the surface force across all domains.
