SATTAHIP NAVAL BASE, Thailand (June 3, 2019) Explosive ordnance disposal technicians assigned to U.S. Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 5 and the Royal Thai Navy Diver and Explosive Ordnance Disposal Center assemble an improvised demolition charge during a controlled, live-fire demolition knowledge exchange as part of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Thailand 2019. This year marks the 25th iteration of CARAT, a multinational exercise series designed to enhance U.S. and partner navies' abilities to operate together in response to traditional and non-traditional maritime security challenges in the Indo-Pacific region.
