U.S. Forces-Afghanistan MASCAL Teams, along with the Medical Training and Advisory Group made up of U.S. and Canadian medical personnel, serving at New Kabul Compound, in Kabul, Afghanistan, performed a training drill March 16, 2012, to ensure they are prepared in the event of an attack or emergency involving multiple casualties. These scenarios are an important aspect of the MASCAL teams’ training, teaching the team members to work as a cohesive unit resulting in a more effective and efficient response in the event of emergencies, which will save the lives of service members and civilians.
