Jared Goins, a maintenance worker at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa District’s Elk City, Big Hill, Fall River and Toronto Dam, monitors the dam’s infrastructure June 4, to ensure it continues to perform as designed. The Tulsa District is storing flood water and making release decisions, as needed, to mitigate the impact of flooding downstream of dams brought on by several days of heavy rains. They will continue working to lessen the impacts of the flooding in the days and weeks ahead.
